Manifestation and Change in Life

...and the role of the subconscious mind

I want to talk to you about manifesting the changes you want in your life. I’m currently manifesting an opportunity to go to a live concert again soon (post pandemic of course…) I believe it can happen!

Is Manifestation something you’ve heard of or even practiced before? Or is it one of those crazy woo woo sounding things that you haven’t really thought about? If that’s you, let me explain it a bit more, but it’s all about your beliefs, subconscious mind, energy and the frequency or level they’re all vibrating at.

Sounds crazy right? For now, just know that high vibrational beliefs are beneficial, and low vibrational beliefs are limiting. Stick with me though because it’s an incredibly powerful concept to incorporate into your life.

Let’s say you’re stuck in a low paying 9-5 job that you hate and you barely make enough money to get by. You’d like to make more money (who doesn’t?) so you’re always on the lookout for a higher paying job. BUT, if you have the belief that “I am poor, I could never become rich, there are very few opportunities to make more money” (low vibrational energy) - then you’re going to have a very hard time finding that better job… and it’s NOT because there aren’t opportunities - it’s because your subconscious mind won’t let you “see” them, plus you’re beliefs have you vibrating on a low level instead of the high level vibration of your dream job.

We all have the power to create anything we want in our lives. You, me, everybody… We literally become what we think about the most, and attract what we think about the most. (Hello concert!) It’s pretty cool. As I said before, it has everything to do with energy, vibrations and frequencies... Yep, everything in this world is made up of energy - from the chair that I’m sitting on to the thought I have about the chair... it’s all energy just vibrating at different levels or frequencies.

When we’re happy we’re vibrating at a high level, and when we’re sad we are vibrating at a low level. When you imagine and feel yourself healthy, and keep focusing on that feeling - health will follow. You are literally vibrating on the frequency of health. Likewise, when you feel sick or fear getting sick and you're focused on how bad you feel, you are vibrating on the low frequency of sickness - and sickness will continue to show up.

If this is all something that feels a little “out there” for you - I hear you… I didn’t really wrap my head around it at first either. But, it’s real and it’s based on the Law of Attraction or put more simply, like attracts like. The Law of Attraction applies to everything in the Universe.

For us humans, it’s connected to what we focus on the most (repeated thoughts) and what we believe to be true. It’s been proven over and over by the “Placebo Effect” in the medical field. During clinical trials for a new drug, if a patient believes he/she is getting the “medicine”, then their condition often improves - even though they are just getting the “placebo” or sugar pill. In fact, oftentimes the placebo performs much better than the actual medicine! Ha!

You’re probably wondering why am I talking about this?

It’s because I know it’s key to making big changes in your life. Whatever you want to have, be or do in life - you must first believe that you can have it, become it or do it. In fact, I know that belief alone will get you halfway there.

Sometimes in life what we want, doesn’t align with what we believe is possible. Our beliefs control our subconscious mind. Why is that important? Well...we humans are creatures of habit. Out of all the things we do every day, our subconscious mind is in charge of 95% of it! That’s because our conscious mind is very limited to the amount of information it can process without getting overloaded.

Just think, if you had to consciously think about all the movements involved in say brushing your teeth, washing dishes or driving a car…you’d be overwhelmed in no time!

That’s why the subconscious is so amazing - it can handle all the mundane tasks for you without you even thinking about it - so the conscious mind can be present in the here and now.

Again, our beliefs (they rule the subconscious) act as filters to the myriad of information that is thrown at us on a daily basis. Whatever doesn’t line up with our beliefs, our subconscious mind doesn’t make us aware of. Another way of saying this is, our beliefs can hold us back from getting what we want because they limit the information that we receive from the world around us .

Let me clarify a bit more… here’s an example:

Let’s say you’ve been overweight and unhealthy for a while now and you’re tired of not feeling good in your body. It’s something that you’ve wanted to change for years. You want to feel healthy and fit, so you’re always looking for the next new diet or exercise routine that will help you lose weight and get healthy again. However, you have the beliefs such as: “I am so tired all the time, I could never get in shape - It’s SOOO hard to lose weight and keep it off, my body just doesn’t move like it used to, it’s just not going to work for me” (low vibrational energy) - then you are going to have a hard time making the changes… not because you can’t, but because your subconscious mind will not allow you to find or see evidence to the contrary, not to mention the level you're vibrating at is out of sync with what you desire.

Bottom line, we need to shift our beliefs to get our subconscious minds in on the plan for what we want in our lives, (and vibrational levels) so we won’t miss another opportunity.

So now you’re thinking “But Julie, how do I change my beliefs just like that?”

Well, a belief is simply a “feeling of certainty” that something is real or true for you. Beliefs aren’t true or false - they are either beneficial beliefs or limiting beliefs and they are mainly shaped by your past experiences. Those past experiences have provided you with “evidence” that what you believe is true.

Now that you have a better understanding of what’s going on inside your head…

What do you want to attract into your life? What will you allow yourself to believe is possible? Now, take that belief about yourself - and see if you can find evidence in your life to the CONTRARY… Is there another way of looking at this belief? To raise it to a high vibrational energy? How can you flip it around to benefit you rather than limit you? You can have, be or do whatever you want - the only thing standing in your way is YOU and your beliefs about what is possible.

I think I’ve given you enough to think about for now… next time I’m going to go into the whole process of manifestation. It’s fun and exciting and it will open your mind up to all the possibilities.
